Terms for the Submission of Photographs
If you would like for Barnes & Noble to consider your photography for any of its upcoming projects (books, book covers, calendars, etc) then we invite you to read this statement which details our purchasing terms.

Digital Submission Guidelines
Apart from the purchasing terms, outlined in the document above, this page outlines the basic digital guidelines that should be followed for the submission of photography.  Since the technology (and our own knowledge) is continually evolving, this document will evolve as well.  We welcome your comments or questions.

Best Practices
From the need for monitor calibration to Photoshop settings, this is a basic primer, a "Digital Image Handling 201".  It is now slightly dated, having been published in The Picture Professional back in April 2005. Download the PDF here

UPDIG
At last, a consortium of digital imaging professionals from all walks of life have conspired to bring order to the new landscape, the wild west of handling digital images.  The Universal Photographers Digital Imaging Guidelines are a must read for everyone in the business.
